I had James with Monarch come out to scope a large job. I needed almost 30 trees/brush removed to accommodate an upcoming pool plan. A handful of these trees were very large while another handful were down in a canyon. James came by on a Sunday, carefully counted and inspected every tree and provided a quote on site. I found the quote to be very fair. Two other vendors came by the following two days, they didn’t spend the time to inspect the trees and just spit-balled quotes that were considerably higher than James’. One more desperate sales person said they’d beat the lower price by 20%, but when I told them James’ price, he walked that back and said he’d lose money and could only do it for 5% less. Given he hadn’t even spent much time looking at the trees, I opted to accept James’ quote.

Throughout the first consult, James was a true professional!

James came on site with a large crew, and the job took three days, although weather and another job caused some unexpected delays, but James always called and kept me up to date on their schedules, and he always came back and finished the job without any suffering of quality. Everyone on his team was extremely polite, and they worked efficiently in 105 degree weather. They did a great job of cleaning up brush, branches, etc. The site was left very clean.

Finally, I asked James to knock out a couple other small tasks not on the original quote and he obliged.

I’m amazed at the work, and it was all at a very fair price. I believe it took longer than expected and there was more brush removed than perhaps anticipated, but James never hustled me for money, something contractors frequently do.

I’ve had a lot of tree work done in the past, and my experience with James and Monarch was first class all the way.

We chose Monarch Tree Service of Austin to prune a large Ash tree in our front yard that had a large, broken limb. When James came by to give us the estimate, he was patient and detailed in explaining what he would do and why. His pricing was very reasonable for the work done. His crew showed up on time, and James reviewed and confirmed with me the work to be done, including the removal of two Ligustrums from a different part of the yard. They did exactly what they said would be done, finished in a timely manner, and cleaned everything up afterwards. I would highly recommend Monarch and will be calling them again for future needs.
